You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if x varies inversely with y then
:
xy=k where k is the constant of variation
:
in this case: 5(1.6)=k---->k=8....so our equation is of the form
:
xy=8
:
when x=32-----> x(32)=8
:
x=8/32=1/4 or .25
:
in an inverse relationship when one variable increases the other decreases and vice versa.......so y increased from 1.6 to 32 and x decreased from 5 to .25
