You can put this solution on YOUR website! A gallon of water seal covers 200 square feet. How many gallons are needed to piant two coats of water seal on a deck that measures 20 feet by 35 feet? I know the awnser is 7 gallons, but I cant figure out how to work the problem. Could Someone please help me, by showing all the correct steps in working out this problem?
----------------
The area of the deck is 20*35 = 700 sq ft
a gallon covers 200 sf, so one coat will take 700/200 = 3.5 gallons
The 2nd coat take another 3.5 gallons.
That's 7 gallons.
