Question 187776: what is the angle sum of a regular polygon with 7 sides?

I have tried using the equation of 180(n-2)/n
180(7-2)/7=
128 is the answer I am getting. Is that right. Would the angle sum of a regular polygon equal to 128?
thank you

-----------------
The sum of the angles of a 7-sided polygon is (7-2)*(180) = 900º
-----------------
Each angle is 900/7 = ~ 128.57º

You have the right idea, but you don't divide by "n". If you're looking for the sum of all of the angles of a heptagon (a regular polygon with 7 sides), then you use this formula

S=180%28n-2%29

S=180%287-2%29 Plug in n=7 (since there are 7 sides)

S=180%285%29 Subtract

S=900 Multiply

So if you add up all of the angles in a heptagon, then the result will be 900 degrees.
