You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Suppose x and y vary inversely, and x = 5 when y = 1.6
1. Write a function that models the inverse variation.
2. Find y when x = 32
Since x is inversely y, xy =k
When x = 5, y= 1.6 so xy = 5 (1.6)=8 =k
1) So the function is xy =8
2) y = 8/x = 8/32 = 1/4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) x = K/y
you are told x = 5 when y = 1.6
so
5+=+K%2F1.6
8+=+k
x+=+8%2Fy
2) find y when x = 32
32+=+8%2Fy
y+=+8%2F32
y+=+1%2F4
