Let sue’s age = s
Leah = s +6
John = (s+6) + 5 = s + 11
Sum of their ages = 41
s + s+6 + s+ 11 = 41
3s + 17 = 41
Subtracting 17 on both sides we get
3s = 41-17 = 24
So s = 24/3 = 8 years
Ans: Sue is 8 years old
