For the estimation problems,

a. 0.18 is a little less than 0.20 which is the same thing as 20%. 20% of 6 is a little more than 1. So put the decimal point so that the answer results in a number that is a little more than 1.

d. Round off your factors. You are looking at approximately 600 times 3 which is 1800. Put the decimal point where it makes the answer as close as possible to 1800. Hint: 174.5055 is way too small while 17450.55 is way too large.

For the rest of them, use your calculator to divide the numerator by the denominator, then round the answer to the nearest tenth:



Rounded to the nearest tenth is 0.4.
