: Find the area of a trapezoid with a height of 9 m and bases of 7 m and 25 m
I need someone to double check this for me. I'm not sure of myself...this is what i got.

A= (1/2)h (b1 + b2)
A= (1/2)9 (7cm + 25cm)
A= 4.5 (32)
A= 144m

You have the right numerical answer, and you did all of the arithmetic correctly. However, you have played rather fast and loose with your unit labels. In the first place, your trapezoid bases measured 7 and 25 meters, not centimeters. You corrected that problem once you got to your answer -- almost. Area is measured in square units. If your measures of length are in meters, then your area should be expressed as either square meters or m^2.
