Question 186816: A cylindrical water tank has a base with a diameter of 2 ft and is 4 ft tall. How many gallons of water will the tank hold? (1 cubic foot equals 7.5 gallons) Answer by uday1435(57) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Radius r = d/2 = 2/2 = 1 ft and height h = 4ft
Volume of a cylinder = pi r^2h = 3.14 x 1 x 1 x 4 = 12.56 cubic feet
= 12.56 x 7.5 gallons = 94.2 gallons
So it can hold 94.2 gallons of water
