Question 186317: this problem says use synthetic division to divide
(3x^3 - 7x^2 - 22x + 8) by (x-4)
I can't say synthetic division is something I am really good at...I have trouble remembering what goes where and why. Once it is set up I can solve it, but setting it up is the problem...
I don't know exactly what category this would be in...please, if someone could help me I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks so much for your time! Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! (3x^3 - 7x^2 - 22x + 8) by (x-4)
----------------
4)....3....-7....-22....8
.......3.....5.....-2..|..0
--------------------------------
Quotient: 3x^2 + 5x -2
Remainder: 0
