: Y=2/3X-1.
And the book is asking me to graph. I'm not sure what I have to solve to be able to graph properly. Help! This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Y=2/3X-1.
And the book is asking me to graph. I'm not sure what I have to solve to be able to graph properly. Help!
--------------
It's a straight line, so 2 points is sufficient.
Pick a value for x, then find y. That gives you a point (x,y).
Do it again for a 2nd point, then draw a line thru them.
--------------
x = 0 --> y = -1. So a point is (0,-1)
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Y = X - 1.
And the book is asking me to graph.
:
It's not hard, choose at least two values for x, and find y, for example:
x = 3
Y = (3) - 1.
y = 2 - 1
y = 1
Plot coordinates x=3,y=1
:
x = -3
Y = (-3) - 1.
Y = -2 - 1
y = -3
Plot coordinates x=-3, y=-3
:
Join these two points with a straight line, should look like this:
