You can put this solution on YOUR website!
DIfference of 2 rational expressions reduced to its lowest terms, I need help with please- I need you to show me how to work completely. THANKS!
5 / x-5 - 7 / 5-x
I know I need to multiply something? by a neg. one but not sure what.
--------------
I think you mean (5/(x-5)) - 7/(5-x)
(5-x) is -1*(x-5), so
(5/(x-5)) - 7/(5-x)
= (5/(x-5)) + 7/(x-5) Now the DENs are the same.
= 12/(x-5)
