You can put this solution on YOUR website!
equate the two equations...
by comparison:
-4x + 8 = x + 7 (solve the equation)
-4x - x = 7 - 8
-5x = -1 (divide both sides by -5)
x = 1/5
substitute the value of x to any of the equation to solve the value of y
y = x + 7 (equation 2)
y = (1/5) + 7
y = 7 and 1/5
or
y = 7.20
