Using the quadratic equation we get:
x=(3.5+-sqrt[-3.5^2-4*2*-7])/2*2

x=(3.5+-sqrt68.25)/4
x=(3.5+-8.26136)/4
x=(3.5+8.26136)/4
x=11.76136/4
x=2.94 ans.
