You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Soy bean meal is 16% protein;.cornmeal is 8% protein. How many pounds of each should be mixed together in order to get 320 lb mixture that is 11% protein.
----
protein + protein = protein
0.16x + 0.08(320-x) = 0.11*320
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
16x + 8*320 - 8x = 11*320
8x = 3(320)
x = 120 lb. (amt. of soy bean mean in the mixture)
320-x = 320-120 = 200 lb. (amt. of cornmeal in the mixture)
