You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assign a variable to things you don't know:
Let x = cost of less expensive object
then
x+6 = cost of other object
.
x + x+6 = 6.80
2x+6 = 6.80
2x = .80
x = .40
.
The "less expensive object" is 40 cents.
