You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let's do this by steps.
(y^3y^-2)/(y^-5y)
I'm going to write this a little differently. I think it will help.
(y^3)(y^-2)/y^-5)(y^1)
Now I'm going to get everything in the numerator.
(y^3)(y^-2)(y^5)(y^-1)
Since all the bases are the same I can add the exponents.
y^(3-2+5-1)
y^(1+5-1)
y^5
This could also be done by using the fact that a negative in an exponent can be moved to the other side of the division and drop the negative sign.
