You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Point(a,-2) lies on the line whose equation is 2x-6y=14. What is the value of a?
-------------------
The value of y is -2. Sub -2 for y into the equation and solve for x.
2x -6(-2) = 14
2x +12 = 14
2x = 2
x = 1
That makes a 1 and the point (1,-2)
