You can do that. You can find any 2 points and draw a straight line thru them.
To find the intercepts, you set x = 0 and find y, then set y = 0 and find x.
1. 3x-2y=12
@ x=0: -2y=12
y = -6 --> (0,-6) point 1
@ y=0: 3x=12
x = 4 --> (4,0) point 2
Then draw a line thru the points.
