Question 181407: I have a question asking me to find the slope of a line. The y-intercept was (0,3), so I added in an x-factor at (2,4). Now I have 3 - 0 over 4 - 2, which I found to be 3 over 2, or 3/2. Is this my answer?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I am not sure what you mean by you added an x-factor, I hope this point (2,4) was also given to you....if so .....
Concept you should know:
(1)coordinate point (x, y)
(2)slope=m= change of y/ change of x = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
***********************
Your points:
point 1 = (0, 3) = (x1, y1)
point 2 = (2, 4) = (x2, y2)
m= (y2-y1)/(x2 - x1)
m= (4 - 3)/(2 - 0)
m= 1/2
