sqrt(x+1)+sqrt(x+2)=1
2x+2sqrt(x+1)sqrt(x+2)+3=1 square each side
2sqrt(x+1)sqrt(x+2)=-2x-2
4(x+1)(x+2)=4x^2+8x+4 square each side
4x^2+12x+8=4x^2+8x+4
4x+4=0 subtract the right side from the left.
4x=-4
x=-1
