You can put this solution on YOUR website! ok. so first we need to rewrite this in slope intercept form which is
:
y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept(0,b).
:
I will have to assume that the -8 is really =8 since we need an equals somewhere
:
3x-2y=8
:
-2y=-3x+8....subtracted 3x from both sides
:
y=(3/2)x-4...divided all terms by -2
:
so slope is 3/2 and the y intercept is -4 (0,-4)
:
so we start by plotting the point (0,-4). This is a positive slope so we move
:
3 units up and 2 units to the right(plot that point) then draw a line thru both those points and there ya have it.
:
should look like this when your done. BTW the other point will end up at (2,-1)
