start by simplifying both sides of equation:
5(8x)/ 4x(8x) + 1(4x)/8x(4x) = 9/ 8+x
5(8x) + 1(4x)/ 4x(8x) = 9/ 8+x
(40x + 4x )/ 32x^2 = 9/ 8+x
44x / 32x^2 = 9/ 8+x
Now lets get rid of denominators....
32x^2(44x/32x^2) = 32x^2(9/8+x)
44x= 288x^2/8+x
(8+x)(44x)= (8+x)(288x^2/8+x)
352x+44x^2=288x^2
352x=244x^2
352x/x=244x^2/x
352= 244x
352/244=x
