Question 179983: The measure of the angle in standard position coterminal with an angle whose measur is -200 degrees is,
a. -160
b.20
c. 560
d. 520

You can put this solution on YOUR website! You can find coterminal angles as follows:
0 + 360n
where 0 is the angle and n is an integer
-200 + 360(2)=-200 + 720 = 520
another way to look at it is by drawing a picture (usually helps more)and then eliminating impossible answers:
Coterminal angles must share their terminal sides...
angle -200 moves clockwise and its terminal side ends in quadrant II....
a. -160 moves clockwise and ends in quadrant III, therefore it is wrong
b. 20 ends in quadrant I, therefore it is wrong
c. 560 moves counterclockwise, completes a turn (360) and then moves 200 degrees more, and ends in quadrant III therefore it is wrong also
d. 520 moves counterclockwise completes a turn (360) and then moves 160 degrees more ending in quadrant II
