You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I have no clue what to do, can you please help.
Add-2 to both sides of the inequality5<3 then divide both sides of the inequality -20>-30 by-2 explain what happens in both examples and when the direction of the inequality symbol is reversed.
-----------
Start: 5 > 3 ; that means 5 is to the right of 3 on the number line.
----------
Add -2 to both sides to get 5-2 > 3-2 or 3 > 1; the order of inequality has not
changes when you add -2 (also is you add +2).
------------
Divide -20 < -30 by -2; you will be 10 < 15
Notice that you affect both numbers and you affect the direction of the
inequality.
That is what happens when you multiply or divide an inequality by a
negative number.
