Question 179476: Will you please advise if I'm on the right track.
Plot the graph of the equations 2x-3y=5 and 4x-6y=21 and interpret the result.
I interpret:
-2[2x-3y=5]
4x-6y=21

-4x+6y=-10
4x-6y=21
=11
(0,11)
Find the intercept of 2x-3y=5
Set x=0
2(0)-3y=5
y=-3/5

intercept is (0,-3/5)
set y=0
2x-3(0)=5
x=5/2
intercept is (5/2,0)
Find the intercept of 4x-6y=21
set x=0
4(0)-6y=21
y=-7/2
intercept is (0,-7/2)
set y=0
4x-6(0)=21
4x=21
x=21/4
intercept is (21/4,0)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Will you please advise if I'm on the right track.
Plot the graph of the equations 2x-3y=5 and 4x-6y=21 and interpret the result.
-----------------------
2x-3y=5
x-intercept: Let y = 0, then x = 5/2 giving you point (5/2,0)
---------------
yintercept: let x = 0, then y = -5/3 giving you point (0,-5/3)
---------------
Plot the two points and draw a line thru them to get:

---------------------------------------------------------
4x+6y = 21
x-intercept: Let y = 0, then x = 21/4 giving you point (21/4,0)
---------------
y-intercept: Let x = 0, then y = 21/6=7/2 giving you pont (0,7/2)
----------------
Plot the two points and draw a line thru them to get:
