You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To solve this we need to get x on one side by itself:
3x-1=11
Add 1 to both sides:
3x-1+1=11+1
3x+0=12
3x=12
Divide both sides by 3:
3x/3=12/3
1x=4
x=4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You first want to move the variables seperate.
So, you need to move the -1 over to the left side.
3x=12
REMEMBER that when you move things across the equal sign, you always use the opposite of the number
x=4
Hope this helps!
