The equation is the equation of a vertical line consisting of all points in with x-coordinate equal to -9. Any point with an x-coordinate of -9 is on the line. Any point with any other x-coordinate is not on the line.

By the way, you separate coordinates in an ordered pair with a comma, not a period, like this (6, -8).
