sum%283n%2B2%2Cn=1%2Cm%29 where n is the natural numbers and m is the mth term in the sequence. m can be calculated by taking the number of the mth term, subtracting 2 and dividing by 3(for instance take (38-2)/3=12)...so m would be 12 in that case. Generally when adding terms in a sequence you will be given m.
