find the area of the circle, subtract the area of the square
:
circle, r = 3.2 cm
A = pi*3.2^2
A = 32.167 sq cm

Find the dimensions of the square:
2s^2 = 6.4^2
2s^2 = 40.96
s^2 = 20.48, which is the area of a square
:
32.167 - 20.48 = 11.69 is the shaded area
