real numbers are any positive number from 0 - infinity
imaginary numbers are a - z and neg. infinity - 0

so the amswer would be
1). 9
2). -8

the real part is 0 this would be written as 0-(8/9)i
imaginary part is -8/9i

It makes a big difference.
If the problem
-%288%2F9%29i
then the number is the same as
0-%288%2F9%29i
and the real part is 0
and the imaginary part is -%288%2F9%29i
.
