You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many pounds of hamburger that costs $1.60 per pound must be mixed with 70 pounds of hamburger that costs $2.10 per pound to make a mixture that costs $1.70 per pound
-----
Value Equation: 1.60x + 2.10*70 = 1.70(x+70)
Multiply thru by 100 to get rid of the decimals:
160x + 210*70 = 170x + 170*70
10x = 40*70
x = 280 lbs (amt of 1.60 per lb meat in the mixture)
