If a pro basketball player has a vertical leap of about 30 inches, what is his hang time? Use the hang-time function V=48T^2
Thank you, Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Just substitute 30 for V and then solve for T. The thing is, you really don't have a hang time function. What you have is vertical leap as a function of time. What you need is hang time as a function of vertical leap. Just divide both sides by 48 and then take the square root:
Now all you have to do is substitute 30 for V and do the arithmetic.
