Question 177451: How do you turn a quadratic equation into standard form (y = ax^2 + bx + c) with 3 points on a parabola? At first I know you plug in the three points into the standard form equation three separate times but i dont know how to simplify to find the solutions to a,b, and c. Please Help Me! :(

You can put this solution on YOUR website! you will end up with a system of equations: In this case you will have 3 equations and 3 unknowns(a,b,and c). You can solve systems by a number of means probably which you familiar with but just forgot about. Substitution, elimination, and matrix methods. Let us know if you need more help .Hopefully the light will come on and you can move forward.
