You can put this solution on YOUR website! What was the MSRP for a Hummer H1
that sold for $107,272 after an 8% discount
.
Let M = the MSRP
then
M - .08M = 107272
M(1 - .08) = 107272
M(.92) = 107272
M = 107272/.92
M = $116,600

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Finding MSRP. What was the MSRP for a Hummer H1
that sold for $107,272 after an 8% discount
------------------------------
Let the MSRP be "x".
Equation:
x - 0.08x = 107,272
(1-0.08)x = 107,272
0.92x = 107,272
x = 107,272/0.92 = $116,600.00 (Manufactures Suggested Retail Price)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! MSRP = x An 8% discount means that you take 0.08 times the MSRP and subtract that from the MSRP to get to $107,272.
x - 0.08x = $107272
Just solve for x.
