y=2x
x+2y=8
replace y in the second equation with (2x) & solve for x
x+2(2x)=8
x+4x=8
5x=8
x=8/5 ans.
y=2*8/5
y=16/5
Proof:
8/5+2*16/5=8
8/5+32/5=8
40/5=8
8=8
