abs%283x+%2B+4%29+%3E+11 means that 3x+%2B+4+%3E+11 or -%283x+%2B+4%29+%3E+11

So: 3x+%2B+4+%3E+11 → 3x+%3E+11+-+4 → x+%3E+7%2F3

or: -3x+-+4+%3E+11 → -3x+%3E+11+%2B+4 → x+%3C+-15%2F3+=+-5 (Note sense change on the inequality because of multiplying by a -1%2F3

Interval notation:

(-infinity,-5) (7%2F3,infinity)
