I have been working on this math problem and I can't find out how to get the answer. I was wondering if someone could help me? Please and Thank You!! I would deeply appreciate it!!
Properties of Radicals
Simplify.
a. The cube root of 3/8
= %283%2F8%29%5E%281%2F3%29
= 3%5E%281%2F3%29%2F8%5E%281%2F3%29
= 3%5E%281%2F3%29%2F2
= (cube root of 3)/2
-----------------
b. The fourth root of 3/8
= 4th root of 6/4th root of 16
= (4th root of 6)/2
-----------------------
c. The fifth root of 3/8
= (5th root of 12)/5th root of 32
= (5th root of 12)/2
--------------------
Schools have a panic over radicals in the denominator, but with modern calculators and computers there's no reason for it to be an issue.
