So then
%28sec%28x%29%29%5E2%2B%28tan%28x%29%29%5E2=3 can be rewritten as
1%2B%28tan%28x%29%29%5E2%2B%28tan%28x%29%29%5E2=3
1%2B2%28tan%28x%29%29%5E2=3
%28tan%28x%29%29%5E2=1
tan%28x%29=1 and tan%28x%29=-1
All that's left is to use a trig table to determine the angles at which the tangent is 1 or -1.
