You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.) simplify (13x4 – 3x3 + 2x2) – (4x5 – 6x4 + 5x3 + 2x2 – 4x0)
Multiply the polynomial in parentheses by -1
(13x4 – 3x3 + 2x2) – (4x5 – 6x4 + 5x3 + 2x2 – 4x0)
= 13x4 – 3x3 + 2x2 – 4x5 + 6x4 - 5x3 - 2x2 + 4 (I assume 13x4 means 13x%5E4)
The 4x0 is just 4, anything to the power of zero is 1.
Notice that the -1 changes all the signs of the terms.
---------------------------
Add like terms, terms with the same exponent and put in descending order.
= -4x%5E5+%2B+19x%5E4+-+8x%5E3+%2B4
-----------------
2. %285x%5E3%29%2A%284x%5E2-11x%29
=5x%5E4%2A%284x+-+11%29 or
=20x%5E5+-+55x%5E4
Which is simpler is a matter of opinion.
