: this is not a system of equations question this question is under checking the validity of a solution. Please try to help me solve a proble like this: is

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y+=+-3x+%2B+2
You should just substitute the x and y into the equation
Any point contains (x,y). In this case,
the point is (3,-1), so
x+=+3
y+=+-1
y+=+-3x+%2B+2
-1+=+-3%2A3+%2B+2
-1+=+-9+%2B+2
-1+=+-7 not true
So, this point cannot be part of the solution
