You can put this solution on YOUR website!
to find the y intercept set x=0
:
4(0)+2y=12
:
2y=12
:
highlight%28y=6%29
:
y intercept is (0,6)
you can also write this in slope intercept form which is y=mx+b where b is the slope intercept
:
2y=-2x+12
:
y=-x+6
:
therefore y intercept is (0,6)

When x=0, that is the y-intercept. All you need to do
is find y%5B0%5D when the point on the line is (0,y%5B0%5D)
To do that, plug x=0 into the equation
4x+%2B+2y+=+12
4%2A0+%2B+2y+=+12
2y+=+12
y+=+6
This is the y-intercept
