Question 174901This question is from textbook algebra 1
: How can you tell if a point is on a graph?
This question is from textbook algebra 1
Answer by actuary(112) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Since the graph is a representation of an equation, you can check to see whether a point is on a graph by seeing if the given point satisfies the equation. By this I mean, take the "x" value and "y" value of the point and replace the x and y variables in the equation with these values. If you get equality, then the point is on the graph.
I hope that this explanation helps.
