: a small park is in the shape of a rectangle that measures 525 feet by 468 feet.
a.) find the number of feet of fencing that would be needed to enclose the park. Express your answer to the nearest foot.
i tried answering it by finding the area and dividing it by 4 to get the answer to one side of the rectangle. this way i could find how much fencing i would need on one side. but the part that messed me up is the last sentance. please and thank you, D.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The Perimeter is the distance around the rectangle and that is WHERE you would place the fence......therefore if you find the Perimeter you have your answer
:
P=2%28525%29%2B2%28468%29=1050%2B936=highlight%281986%29 feet of fencing need to surround the park
