Question 174291: Use the following to answer the question
f(x)=-4x^2+5x+3 and g(x)=2x^2-3x-4

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Use the following to answer the question
f(x)=-4x^2+5x+3 and g(x)=2x^2-3x-4
Find (f+g)(2)
We first find g(2).
Let x = 2
g(2) = 2(2)^2 -3(2) -4
g(2) = 8 - 6 - 4
g(2) = 8 - 10
g(2) = -2
We now plug -2 for x in the function f(x).
Let x = -2
f(x)=-4x^2+5x+3
f(-2) = -4(-2)^2 + 5(-2) + 3
Simplify the above for f(-2) and you will find your answer.
Understand?
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Use the following to answer the question
f(x)=-4x^2+5x+3 and g(x)=2x^2-3x-4
Find (f+g)(2)
------------------
(f+g)(2) = f(2) + g(2) = -4(2^2) + 5*2 + 3 + 2(2^2) - 3*2 - 4
= -16 + 10 + 3 + 8 -6 -4
= -26 + 21
= -5
