Question 174043: If the average radius of the orbit of venus is 0.723AU, then how many years does it take for venus to complete one orbit of the sun? Use the information given here 29.46 years,11.83 sun to jupiter, and 5.2 AU

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need to clarify this problem. I simply don't understand what the problem is getting at. Specifically, I don't understand what the statement below means, especially how the "sun to Jupiter" fits in:
"Use the information given here 29.46 years,11.83 sun to jupiter, and 5.2 AU
I do know the following:
1 AU is the distance from the earth to the sun---about 93 million miles. Knowing the radius of the orbit of venus(0.723AU given by the problem) we can calculate the distance that venus must travel to complete the orbit (assuming a circular orbit which it is not). That would be pi*r^2. We could next find the mass of venus (internet); apply some physics and then calculate how many years it would take for venus to complete one orbit but I don't think this is the approach the problem wants us to take. Try to clarify the information that you are giving and re-submit the problem.
