You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.25+x+2x=9.50 This assumes the whole turkey sandwich is twice thw price of the half turkey sandwich.
3x=9.50-1.25
3x=8.25
x=8.25/3
x=2.75 for the half turkey sandwich.
2*2.75=5.50 for the whole turkey sandwich
Proof:
1.25+2.75+5.50=9.50
9.50=9.50

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let S represent the cost of a whole sandwich
:
1.25+S+1.5S=9.50 or (3/2)S=8.25
:
%283%2F2%29S=8.25
:
3S=16.50mult both sides by 2
:

this obviously assumes that a 1/2 sandwich is 1/2 the cost of a whole sandwich
