You can put this solution on YOUR website! verify that the function g(x)=(x-2)/5 is the inverse function of f(x)=5x+2.

f([g(x)] = f[(x-2)/5] = 5[(x-2)/5] + 2 = (x-2) + 2 = x

g[f(x)] = g[5x+2] = (5x+2-2)/5 = 5x/5 = x
