5(x-1)=2x+4(x-1).....first of all distributive property for multiplicaton states
:
a(b+c)=ab+ac.......you have to distribute 2 terms in this
:
5x-5=2x+4x-4

5x-5=6x-4....now subtract 5x and add 4 to both sides of the equation
:
