2n + 1 = N-5
2N-N = (-1)-5
N = (-6)

sorry but the other answer is so bad!
answer is 2n%2B1+=+n-5. Re-arrange, to get the n terms on one side and ten the pure numbers on the other... 2n-n+=+-5-1 becomes n=-6
