Question 172819: Divide and if possible simplify: (5p-5/p)/(6p-6/5p^2)
I know that i have to flip the second fraction and multiply, but I'm not seeing how to get the right answer.This is a study problem for an Accuplacer test that I'm taking tomorrow, It really helps me to understand if I can See each step to solve this problem written out like in a math book. Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Divide and if possible simplify:
%28%285p-5%29%29%2Fp / %28%286p-6%29%29%2F%28%285p%5E2%29%29
Invert the dividing fraction and multiply (like you said)
%28%285p-5%29%29%2Fp * %28%285p%5E2%29%29%2F%28%286p-6%29%29
:
Cancel p into 5p^2
5p - 5 * %28%285p%29%29%2F%28%286p-6%29%29
;
Factor out 5 and 6
5(p-1) * %28%285p%29%29%2F%286%28p-1%29%29
;
Cancel out (p-1)'s
5 * %285p%29%2F6 = %2825p%29%2F6
